Aspen Ladd's combat sport journey started at the age of 14. Aspen Ladd was trained in kickboxing, BJJ and boxing and wrestling prior to making her amateur debut at WCFC when she was 18. Ladd was able to win three bouts consecutively at Ultimate Reno Combat. All of the opponents she defeated were defeated within the first second. Then she returned to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen was able to defeat Silvia Babaeghian and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia beat Aspen in the fight, beating her in a unanimously voted victory. Cynthia's records as an amateur were damaged. Ladd was able to bounce back to win against Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight one. Aspen was signed to Invicta FC in 2015 to begin her professional debut. Invicta Fc 11 she dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won her fight in the opening round via TKO. Invicta 16 saw her go from Bantamweight to her battle with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen's impressive wrestling skills took down McGill in the first round, and she was able finish her third round via TKO (elbows and strikes). Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18 at catchweight (138.1lb), as Ladd had missed weight. In spite of this, Aspen was able to outclass Hoy. The fight was won through a TKO during the second round. The Invicta Fight Night 21 was her last bout for the organization. She defeated Sijara Ebanks with a majority decision. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut in UFC Fight Night 118 with Lina Lansberg. She defeated Lina and then pounded her on the ground for a second-round TKO victory. In her second fight, she beat Tonya Evinger in a way that was even more spectacular. Ladd was able to defeat Evinger within the first minute and received a bonus for the performance of the evening. Her debut fight was during her subsequent fight in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in the Invicta FC rematch. Ladd's win was a majority victory, and it was the Fight of the Night award was presented to both fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie broke Ladd's streak of winning in only 16 seconds. After a short break, she returned to finish Yana Kunizkaya at UFC's ESPN 7 third-round fight. The last time she fought for the UFC she fought Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 as a replacement fight. Dumont was defeated in a unanimous decision.
