Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue A. Ellis Taylor, American actor and producer. She holds a BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue has a reputation as an American actress also known as producer and director. She works in television and film. Her acting career started in the theater. She then appeared in several television shows, independent films and mainstream film. Her most famous role was Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico in addition to appearing on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes. For both of these roles she received critical acclaim and a variety of nominations and awards, including the Television Critics Choice Award for Best Actress. Her career began acting in 1995 as Ariel on the stage in The Tempest. The stage credits she has received include The Broadway show of the Joe Turner musical Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. When it comes to film, she is best known for her performances in films such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help.
